Re-Opening My Hair Guru Paisley Hair Salon – Covid Safety and New Procedures
We can’t wait to see you all! Here’s some info about what’s been happening. We have had to make some changes and we would like you to understand how things are going to be and what considerations we have had to take into account … We are a small business and are facing a really hard time just now. We are worried about the viability of our business due to the costs and restrictions placed on us due to Covid 19.
PPE & Salon Procedures
We are introducing a £5 surcharge per person to cover the cost of PPE at this time , this is 100% necessary. Customer satisfaction is the most important thing to us and we are taking the safety of all clients and staff very seriously whilst trying to keep our prices as reasonable as possible. We are a business that employs all our staff and pays tax and vat on every penny we bring in . This means that we are going to struggle to keep our head above water while all these restrictions are in place and would like to thank you for your loyalty . We have done our best to be prepared so that we are operational ASAP . Its important to understand that all businesses are different and will need to implement different policies based on their circumstances for instance a larger salon like ours will be impacted very differently to a self employed individual or a chair renting salon with small overheads.
We will be taking these steps to keep you safe
– Supplying face masks to all clients & staff
– Leaving 15 minutes between each client for deep cleaning stations
– Observing social distancing thus reducing the number of people in the salon
– Using single use gowns, towels, capes and gloves
There are also many additional costs involved with the pandemic but we do not expect our clients to cover any of these costs such as additional staff PPE, admin costs and more .
Having half the staff and clients in per day and 15 minutes between clients will massively reduce the number of clients we can see in a week which means a significant financial loss per week to the business. The loss of appointments combined with the additional costs we are incurring mean the salon will be losing a lot of money and hope to survive and still keep everyone employed.
There will be no discount or promotions running at this time as we build the business back up.
We hope you all can understand the difficulties that we are facing and the reasons behind the decisions we have had to make .
We hope you appreciate our honesty and look forward to seeing you all soon
